PADDY McGORTY

McGORTY Paddy 8th November 2016 The family of the late Paddy McGorty (wife Rosaleen) daughters Patricia (Gerry), Margaret (Robert) and grandchildren wish to sincerely thank all those who travelled from far and near, especially Kevin, to sympathise and offer condolences on their recent sad loss. Our thanks go to the ambulance crew who attended the house, the staff at A&E and in particular Dr Kelly and his team of dedicated staff who provided such excellent care during his short illness. It is with grateful thanks that we remember Dr Kiernan and staff in Rathmore clinic and also Marie McGuinness m.p.s and her staff. A special word of thanks goes to his dear friends, relatives and neighbours who provided him with a wonderful friendship over the years and continued to provide invaluable support and help to the family during the wake and funeral. Helping with the catering and providing meals and home baking plus assisting with car parking. We would like to thank all who attended the funeral and especially Fr Tiernach Beggan who celebrated the Requiem Mass in such a sincere way. Fr Raymond Donnelly who provided spiritual care in the hospital and Rev John Kearns who along with Canon Lonergan visited and supported the family through prayer. Many thanks also to Alan and Anthony McGloin for the accessible transport provided before and during the funeral. To Peter and Bernard Carty who carried out the funeral arrangements in a most dignified and respectful manner and Maeve for her assistance with selection of prayers. To those who helped organise and carry the coffin and to the grave diggers we are forever indebted for you kindness and consideration in preparing his final resting place. Thank you to Therese and choir for the beautiful singing and to Rosie, Conor and Chris for the music and indeed to all those who participated in any way at the Requiem Mass. Also to those who sent cards of condolences, letters or telephone messages and donations to ward 5 stroke unit S.W.A.H in lieu flowers. Our sincere thanks to the staff at Lough Melvin Holiday Centre for providing refreshments after the funeral. Last but not least a very sincere thank you to the McGowan family Eamon, Gerry, Joahanna and JP for their support, thoughtfulness and generosity during this sad time. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation. Paddy’s Months Mass will be celebrated in St John the Bapist, Toura on Sunday 11th December at 10.00am.
