Duffy Elizabeth 18, Forthill Park, Irvinestown (formerly Elizabeth Fay, Derrylin) Died peacefully in the South West Acute Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday 13th December 2016. The family of the late Elizabeth Duffy wish to express their sincere gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement. Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Marie and sons Gabriel, Brendan, John, Michael and Joseph, by her son-in-law Shaun and daughters-in-law Rita, Helen, Mairead, Rosemarie and Clare, grand-children, great grand-children and by her brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and extended family. The prayers, support and encouragement received have given us great comfort in our sadness. We wish to thank all relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues who called at the wake in Drumharvey, brought food and refreshments throughout the wake and assisted in the house in so many ways. Thanks to all those who sent mass and sympathy cards, letters, telephoned, sent messages and floral tributes. We are particularly grateful to the very kind neighbours at Mammy’s home in Forthill Park. The kindness and thoughtfulness of you all is greatly appreciated. Our sincere appreciation to the very dedicated medical and nursing staff on Wards 1 and 6 of South West Acute Hospital and in particular our heartfelt gratitude to Dr Jim Kelly for his care and support of our Mother and the family over many years and especially during her recent hospitalisation. Our sincere gratitude to Charge Nurse Dennis Ryan in Ward 6 and the nursing team for their dignified and personal care, attention and support to Mammy and to the family. Our thanks to the Primary and Community Care Team based at Irvinestown Health Centre. Our sincere appreciation to Sharon Wallace for the care and attention given to our Mother at home in Forthill Park. Particular thanks are expressed to Brendan Lilley and the staff in The Medical Hall Pharmacy, Irvinestown for looking after her so well. The professionalism, kindness and dignified care which you all provided is very much appreciated. Sincere thanks to Canon Michael McGourty, Monsignor Joseph McGuinness, Canon Macartan McQuaid, Fr Patrick MacEntee and Fr Brendan Gallagher for con-celebrating the Funeral Mass in such a prayerful and beautiful manner and for praying with our dear Mother both in hospital and during the wake. In addition our sincere appreciation to Bishop Liam Mac Daid,Monsignor Peter O’Reilly,Fr Brian Darcy, Fr Fintan McKiernan, Fr Noel McGahan, Fr Joe McVeigh, Fr La Flynn, Fr Frank McManus, Fr Jimmy McPhillips and Fr Enda Murphy for their endearing words of comfort, prayers and support for our Mother and the family in the hospital and both during and since the wake. Thanks to the Legion of Mary who prayed with our Mother during the wake. Our thanks to all who took part in the Funeral Mass; the Altar Servers, Readers, Gift-bearers, Eucharistic Ministers and a special word of appreciation to organist Aideen McGirr, singers Sinead Kelly and Gerry McNulty who along with the Sacred Heart Church Choir sang so beautifully and whose music helped make Mammy’s Mass such a meaningful and prayerful tribute to her wonderful life. Sincere gratitude to Jim Barnett, Funeral Undertaker who carried out the Funeral arrangements in such a professional and dignified manner. A special thanks also to the grave-diggers. Thanks to St Molaise GFC Irvinestown and St Michael’s College Enniskillen for providing the Guards of Honour and for so much other assistance. Thanks to the Bawnacre Centre Staff for all their assistance and to the Parish Catering Committee for providing the refreshments following the Funeral Mass and to Mahons Hotel for the beautiful meal afterwards. Our appreciation also to Molly’s Bar & Restaurant, Mahons Hotel, St Fanchea’s College Enniskillen, Mozzarella Fellas Irvinestown, Jolly Sandwich Enniskillen, Supervalu and Centra for the food and refreshments which were sent to the wake house. We appreciate greatly all who travelled from near and far to be with the family on this sad occasion. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually who gave us such support at the passing of our dear Mother and we would ask that you please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt and sincere gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions. Elizabeth’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 8th January 2017 at 11am in the Sacred Heart Church, Irvinestown. Sacred Heart of Jesus we place all our trust in you. Irvinestown, Enniskillen, Strabane, Belfast, Camberley, Derrylin, Bray, New York and New Jersey.
