JOHN CRAWFORD

CRAWFORD We, the family of the late John Alexander Crawford, wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who sympathised with us on our recent sudden bereavement. We wish to thank our extended family, neighbours and friends for all they did over this difficult time. A special thanks to the vet, Katie Gallagher of Fairgreen veterinary practice, Fintona, and his brother Stanley Crawford who were on the farm with John when he passed away. To his brother William Crawford and brother-in-law Winston Gilmore for their practical assistance and help during this time. To the Rev David Campbell for his pastoral care and for conducting the funeral service. Our thanks to William Dunwoody and Matthew Campbell for their musical contribution during the service. Our deep appreciation to the Rev Iain Mac Askill and family who made the journey from Scotland to be with us as a family and to speak at the funeral. A special acknowledgement to Jim McElrath (Augharonan pipe band) who piped the funeral cortege into the church in such a dignified and special manner. To the leadership of Fivemiletown Independent Methodist church for their care, support and kindness leading up to, during and after the funeral service. To Hylands Mitchell who provided additional seating for the crowd who gathered outside the church, and also to Matthew Campbell who organised the outside sound system. To Rev Newell and the committee of Fivemiletown Methodist church for the use of their Wesleyan hall. A special thanks must be extended to Mr Norman Coulter of Saddlers, Enniskillen and his excellent team, who provided the beautiful refreshments after the service in such a professional manner. Thanks also to the grave digger Ivan Woods, the committee of St Mark’s church of Ireland, Newtownsaville and to Fred Martin for the dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. A heartfelt thank you to his brother Stanley Crawford, nephew William Irvine, Scott Crawford and Kinley Tener for their practical assistance on the farm in a myriad of different ways during this difficult time. To all the kind family, friends and neighbours who called at the home, brought gifts, sent cards and letters, sent messages of sympathy, telephoned, sent floral tributes or gave donations, those who attended the wake,  funeral or helped in any way. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually so we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. Deeply missed by his wife Carol, daughters Adele and Glenda, son Jonathan and grandson Caleb, Clogher and the wider family circle- Clogher Valley, Fintona, Omagh, Mulvin (Strabane area) and Surrey, England.
