GERALDINE MULLIN

MULLIN The family of the late Geraldine Mullin, Iona House, 13 Hillcrest Drive, Irvinestown and wider family circle wish to express their thanks to all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. Thanks to all those who called to our family home, sent Mass and sympathy cards, generous gifts of food and donations to Marie Curie and Cancer Research UK. We thank all our kind neighbours and all those who travelled long distances to be with us. We wish to sincerely thank all those who assisted us at the wake during this trying time. A special thanks to the medical professionals including Doctors, District Nurses from Irvinestown Health Centre, The Rapid Response Nurses and Home Carers who worked tirelessly and went beyond the call of duty to ensure Geraldine was comfortable during her illness. In addition the work of Marie Curie Nurses through Geraldines final days and the work of Janet Kilfedder of Palliative Care Team were invaluable to us as a family. Previously she was supported generously by the Staff of the Sperrin Unit in Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry and the Doctors and Nurses of South West Acute Hospital, especially Wards 8 and 9. Also a special thanks to Brendan Lilly of The Medical Hall Pharmacy, Irvinestown and his Staff for all their support throughout the years. The family would also like to thank our Parish Priest Canon Michael McGourty for his regular visits to Geraldine at home and in hospital over the years his support and words of comfort have been much appreciated by our family through this difficult time. Canon McGourty's kind and fitting words during the Mass were a compliment to the life of Geraldine. In addition we had the privilege of the wonderful choir of the Sacred Heart Church led by Aideen Mc Girr as well as the beautiful classical guitar playing of Fiona's partner Stephen Anderson during the reflection. We also wish to thank the Eucharistic Ministers, The Readers, The Altar Servers and all who helped out during the liturgy. We wish to sincerely thank George Beacom from the Bawnacre Centre and his staff for the refreshments provided and the Funeral Committee for their services. Our family would like to most sincerely thank the Funeral Director Claude McKervey for his professional and dignified attention to detail and kind manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Thank you also to the gravediggers. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this heartfelt acknowledgement will be acceptable as a token of our gratitude to you all. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for all your intentions. Geraldine's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church, Irvinestown on Saturday 3rd June at 7pm.
