Lisbellaw YFC held their annual dinner and prizegiving in the Horseshoe Enniskillen. As ever, the meal was fantastic with nearly all members past and present attending. The guest speaker at the event was Rodney Connor, Chief Executive of Fermanagh District Council.

Following the meal, and several desserts, Mr Connor presented the County and Club awards for 2001/2002, with the help of Amanda Hall.

    The club congratulated all those who won an award.

    For the club’s last meeting in February they were treated to a slide showing of Ruth (Jungle Jane) Nelson’s adventures in Colombia. Ruth was only one of two YFCU members who were selected to go out and experience Colombian life.

    The club got to see several images of the amazing countryside as well getting an insight into the local culture of the country.

    Members were also reminded about the Dairy Stockjudging Competition on Thursday, April 4. Practices were arranged for March 28 at

    Leslie O’Malley’s farm and Tuesday, April 2 at Hammy Morrison’s farm.
