The death occurred unexpectedly on August 11, 2002, at the Erne Hospital, Enniskillen, of Mrs. Arabella Nixon, affectionately known as Bella.

Formerly Arabella Haddick, she was a daughter of William and Arabella Haddick, from Greenhill, Brookeborough.

    One of a family of eight children, she was predeceased by three brothers, William, Robert and Cecil and two sisters, Cissie and Peggy.

    She is survived by two sisters, Lettie and Molly, who live in Enniskillen.

    Bella married Jim Nixon and they made their home at Derryinch, Bellanaleck.

    She worked in Cleenish rectory and she had been a member of Cleenish Mothers' Union for a number of years.

    In later years, she moved to Lisgoole Park.

    Bella, predeceased by her husband, Jim, 15 years ago, leaves a family of eight: seven daughters, Mary, Gertie, Emily, Margaret, Eva, Christine and Jennifer and a son, Jim. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

    Her funeral service on Tuesday, August 13, from her former home at Derryinch to Cleenish Parish Church and churchyard, was conducted by the Rev. Geoff Bridle. The hymns were: What A Friend We Have In Jesus; Shall We Gather At The River; and Safe in the Arms of Jesus.

    Her grandson, Colin Close, delivered a Bible reading, and Psalm 103 was also read.

    The funeral arrangements were by W.T. Morrison, Darling Street, Enniskillen.
