Deep regret has been expressed at the
unexpected death of Sam Dane who passed
away unexpectedly on April 12, 2003.
Sam was born on April 19, 1927, a son of the late Robert and Mary Dane, he
was born at Shanco, Lisbellaw. He attended Carrowkeel school.
He worked at home on the farm and helped out at neighbouring farms.
Sam took over the home farm in 1967 when his father passed away.
He always had a great interest in livestock and machinery. He had a great
love for children.
The esteem in which Sam was held was shown in the large numbers who
attended the funeral service at Lisbellaw Parish Church, conducted by the
Rev. Michael Bryce.
Sam is survived by his brothers, Tommie, Bobby, twin brother Alick, Mervyn
and sister Elizabeth. Sam was predeceased by his sister Eveline on May 6,
1997 and brother Albert, June 21, 1997. He is also survived by the wider
family circle.
The funeral arrangements were by S. R. Elliott and Sons, Darling Street,
Enniskillen.
