for the final round of the Ulster

Ireland’s best make a splash
Supermoto: St. Angelo again played
host to some of the top supermoto
and quad bike racers in Ireland with
the incessant wind and rain abating
just in time to allow Sunday’s event
to be a great success. Among the
mnay riders from Dublin, Wexford,
Wicklow, Belfast, Donegal and
Lisburn were a host of riders from
the west of the Bann that more than
held their own.

Selection gives Gavin extra focus
Athletics: Triathlete Gavin Noble
achieved a remarkable double this
week, when the Fermanagh man
secured a place as the sole Irish
representative at both the Men’s
World Under-23 Championships and
the Senior European Triathlon
Championships. His selection
comes after a successful year in
2003, which saw the 22-year-old put
in a string of impressive
performances against triathletes
from throughout the world.

Last gasp agony for Minors
