We grow up in a world where we know there are separations which are traumatic at the time but these are a natural progression of living and learning which we have no choice but to go through.
The comment that got a Minister bunkered
Obviously the new era of politics is working a treat. A couple of our new Assembly members have worked out what has been going wrong all these years.
Challenge to politicians to confront council debt issue
Dear Sir, - I understand that the Regional Transition Committee, which is tasked with overviewing the implementation of the Review of Public Administration, including the proposed merger of Fermanagh and Omagh Councils, met for the first time this week.
Dear Sir, - Last week's Julian's View will be the last for now. I would like to thank everyone who read my column over the past six months, especially those who contacted me via email and facebook.
Is issuing parking tickets a form of harassment?
Dear Sir, - The mind boggles. I arrived to my car outside Castle Island ( a haven of respite for parents!) on Saturday, May 4 at exactly the time stated on my ticket (11.57), I had a brief discussion with the Traffic Warden which ended in 'you're giving me a ticket aren't you?' as well as a look of frustration and disdain I will admit.

Make your views known on rates
Dear Sir, - It was back in January that I first flagged up the problems that the RPA (review of public administration) was going to pose for the people of Fermanagh with the proposed merger with Omagh Council and their existing debt.
Dear Sir, - I have spent considerable time in Co. Fermanagh over the past six months.
More openness may not be a bad thing for the church
Coming so soon after its handling of the clerical sexual abuse issue was criticised, the Roman Catholic Church's decision to censure the published works of several priests including Fr. Brian D'Arcy has done little to bring its people closer to those in authority of the church.
Captain Oates, the polar expedition's most unfortunate figure
One hundred years ago, Captain Lawrence Oates set out on Robert Falcon Scott's South Pole expedition never to return.
