Opinion - Marty McGrath - I always felt Clucker should have got an All Star but process can be flawed

San Francisco, December, 2008. While away with the All-Star touring party, Ryan McCluskey and I decided to treat the women to a meal in The Cheesecake Factory in the city centre. John McElroy of Tempo, who was also part of the tour, was dragged along too. It stands out as one of the most enjoyable nights of the trip; chatting about home, club football and a hot topic every October, the All-Star selection process.

Column: Jayne Saunderson: Extended holidays should come with a health warning

Moving internationally may indeed be hazardous to one’s health. Ideally my relocation should have come with a health warning, which I naturally would have ignored at my leisure.

‘We need to carry the same levels into Dungannon game’ - Anderson

Last week was a good one for Ballinamallard Utd. Victories over Institute in the Wasp Solutions League Cup and Coleraine in the league was just the tonic after four defeats in a row had seen them slip to the foot of the Danske Bank Premiership table.

Opinion - Warren Little - Our super-hero Councillors can only pretend to fly

What a wonderfully altruistic district council Fermanagh has. None of society’s problems, it seems, are too great a challenge, too far away or too fraught with complexity that they can’t be sorted out between 7pm and 9pm on a wet Monday at the Townhall.

Why do we hide our light under a bushel?

In Fermanagh, we have got something that lots of other places want and we say little to nothing about it.

Derek should be treated with respect

DEAR MADAM - I was surprised to read your article on Derek Chambers. I worked with Derek at Florencecourt on the National Trust and always found him to be a helpful decent person and a good boss to work for. I am saddened to think that he is being treated like this after all the service he has given to Florencecourt over the years. I have always found him to be a good person and very helpful to us when we worked with him.

Double standards

Dear Madam, - This has to be one of the most dastardly acts ever by the present establishment. A man is hounded because he has had the ingenuity to adapt an outbuilding on his farm into a bachelor pad for his own private use. Also to threaten that ‘they’ have not finished with him yet. Where, oh where, are our human rights?

Hitting the Draw

It would be fair to say that most, if not all, club golfers would love to be able to draw the ball consistently.
