COUNTRY singing sensation, Lisa McHugh, performs to a sell-out audience tonight and the very talented Anthony Toner performs in the Gallery Bar on Saturday. LISA MCHUGH IN CONCERT Lisa McHugh performs to a sell-out audience tonight at 8pm. She is determined to make country cool as she builds a huge fan base with live performances, TV appearances and recordings. Having launched her band a little over two years ago she already has recorded two albums and nine singles; one, entitled ‘Why’d Ya Come in Here’, has over 150,000 hits on YouTube. She has appeared on the prestigious Grand Ole Opry as guest of her friend in Nashville, Gene Watson and she has just recently released her newest album ‘A Life That’s Good’. ANTHONY TONER The Belfast-based singer and accomplished guitarist, Anthony Toner, is back on the road with a brand new album, ‘Miles and Weather’. As always, expect some background material and shared experiences, superb guitar playing, singing and songs that will move and inspire. Anthony’s set will include new material alongside old favourites such as ‘Sailortown’, ‘Well Well Well’ and ‘East of Louise’. Anthony’s last collection, ‘Sing Under the Bridges’, was short-listed for the Northern Ireland Music Prize, while the new collection deals with themes of distance, connection and disconnection, wear and tear. See Anthony Toner perform in the Gallery Bar on Saturday at 9pm. PATRICK KIELTY - HELP Patrick Kielty knows nothing. And he needs your help! Dundrum’s finest returns to The Ardhowen with the first run of his new stand up show ‘Help’ on Thursday, June 4, at 8pm. THE RONNIE GREER BLUES BAND The Ardhowen welcomes back blues legend Ronnie Greer and his band for another blistering night of rhythm and blues in the Gallery Bar on Friday, June 5, at 9pm. His band, comprising of keyboard wizard John McCullough, bass player Alan Hunter and drummer Colm Fitzpatrick, will be accompanied by special guest, singer/songwriter, Matt McGinn. After releasing his début album ‘Livin’’ in 2011 to much acclaim, Matt McGinn has enjoyed much success touring worldwide, performing with everyone from Nanci Griffith to Kim Richey. Expect a night of blues, roots, and a little jazz based music, played with style and conviction by the best in the business. “Proper blues from a proper bluesman” as Ralph McLean says.
