The 2012 'Hooley in the Valley' takes place this weekend from today, Thursday, August 9 through until Sunday, August 12 and has something to suit everyone.

Country stars Lisa McHugh and Nathan Carter plus More Power To Your Elbow are headlining the popular 2012 Augher Summer Festival, supported by some top radio DJs and their disco shows. There's also a teenage disco, bingo and a family fun day incorporated into an appealing four-day programme that is all hosted by a huge marquee on the Main Augher to Ballygawley Road, only a short distance from Augher.

The festival features full stewarding of events, efficient organisation plus a warm, friendly welcome for people from near and far right across the community.

Lisa McHugh and Nathan Carter are very much looking forward to sampling the famous Valley atmosphere as they take to the Hooley stage for the first time.

More Power To Your Elbow have been entertaining people in their own inimitable style for a number of years and their appeal remains as strong as ever.

A teenage disco opens the Hooley programme on Thursday, August 9, when the younger age-group have the honour of launching the Hooley (9 pm to midnight).

Nathan Carter and his band then feature on Friday night (August 10) from 11.15pm to 1.15am, preceded by 'Jenny B' and her country disco show as support (9.15-11.15pm).

Nathan has attracted a great following and puts on a superb show.

More Power To Your Elbow return to the hooley stage on Saturday night (11.30pm to 1.30am) with their eclectic mix of music sure to get plenty out on the dancefloor.

Earlier on Saturday (August 11th), there's a new development for the festival with a Family Fun Day being held at the marquee and grounds from 2 -4 pm with DK Stevie King.

The fun day features free entertainment for all the family, including bouncy castles, face painting, children's TV characters, model aircraft display, music and much more.

People attending the Family Fun Day can choose to make a donation for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Any local people wishing to set up a stall to exhibit and sell their products during the Family Fun Day are also welcome to do so free.

A monster bingo session will take place during the day on Sunday, August 12th, starting at 3.00pm, so go along and try to win big prizes.

Lisa McHugh, one of the brightest new sensations on the music circuit, and her band close the festival from 10.30 pm to 12.30 am on Sunday night, August 12, support beforehand provided by 'Country Girl Claire' and her disco (9.30 to 10.30pm).
