THE Higher Bridges Gallery, Enniskillen, will host the eighth annual Christmas art exhibition, ‘1FT SQ’ from tomorrow (Friday) until Saturday, January 23.

The exhibition, which will showcase a diverse collection of artwork one foot square in size, will be officially opened at the gallery tomorrow at 7pm by Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly.

In the autumn, the council issued an open call to the arts community to exhibit in this year’s 1FT SQ exhibition.

More than 60 artists from Ireland and the United Kingdom have submitted artwork for exhibition which includes painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, film and sculpture.

Everyone is welcome to attend the exhibition opening. The exhibition will then continue until Saturday, January 23.

The opening times of the gallery are Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, and Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

The gallery will be closed over the Christmas period from Wednesday, December 23 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 5.

Admission to the gallery is free.
