MEMBERS of the Western Health and Social Care Trust Board were particularly excited to learn at their latest meeting that they had received correspondence from none other than Buckingham Palace.
During the meeting held at the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) yesterday (Thursday), chairman of the Board, Gerard Guckian revealed a letter had been received from the Palace the day before.
A copy of the Western Trust's in-house magazine, NOW, had been sent for the attention of Her Majesty containing details of her visit to Enniskillen in June when she officially opened the multi-million pound hospital.
Her Assistant Private Secretary wrote back to the Trust saying the Queen had been "delighted" to receive her own copy of the magazine and sent her "warmest wishes" to all the staff.
