BALLINAMALLARD newly wed, Leanne Graham, (née Gillian) says she has inherited her vanity from her father! The 26-year-old got married to her work colleague sweetheart in July this year.

And according to her on the morning of the wedding her father spent almost as much time preening himself in preparation for the big day as she did!

Modelling for this week’s Lifestyle photoshoot Leanne’s long tresses are no doubt the envy of many’s a female.

“I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my hair,” she admits, wearing a biker look consisting of trousers and shoes from River Island, a scarf from New Look, jacket from Celeb Boutique and a top from Primark.

“I suppose you would say I’m a bit vain when it comes to my hair! I get it from my daddy! “On the day of the wedding he spent about 45 minutes on his hair. It’s quite strange that a farmer would be like that but he is! His hairstyle hasn’t changed since the 70s! He still looks like he is one of the BeeGees. I have looked back at pictures of him from his Young Farmers days and it was the same then as it is now!

“I have always had long hair really. I have only had it short once and it wasn’t intentional. I went to the hairdressers and asked for a trim and I ended up having it cut to my shoulders. I was so upset about it that when I came home mummy thought something terrible had happened like I had crashed the car because I came into the house roaring!! I wore hair extensions every day for about five years!” A former Kesh Carnival Queen Leanne is a former employee at Liberty Insurance where she met hubby, Matthew Graham.

“We met there six years ago,” she explains as she wears a fitted skirt from River Island, a peplum top from ASOS and heels from Schuh.

“It was an office romance! He spoke about it in his wedding speech. He told everyone how he used to make a point of walking past the reception where I worked more and more to catch my eye!” Originally from Trillick, Leanne took a voluntary redundancy from Liberty Insurance earlier this year.

Having completed a course in make-up and beauty at South West College, she now does make-up for family and friends at home.

“I love make-up,” she says, “I have always had an interest in it. I am obsessed with fake eyelashes!

“My make-up for the day of my wedding was really important to me. I know a lot of brides prefer the “minimalist” look but that’s just not me!” Leanne’s next outfit is a brown dress and skyscraper heels from Primark.

“I bought these shoes a couple of years ago but I have never actually worn them because I am so afraid of falling in them!” she admits.

Describing her style Leanne says she goes for a “quirky” look that “stands out”.

“I like a lot of celeb styles,” she says.

She admits too that she has no fitness routine despite her trim figure.

“Matty is the complete opposite to me. He is up early to go to the gym before going to work every day. I always think to myself ‘why can I not have that attitude?!’. But I much prefer the extra few hours in bed. I really should be more active though. I prefer to spend my spare time with my mum and dad and seeing my grandparents. I am very much a family person.” A self-confessed homebird, Leanne says she enjoys nothing more than a Saturday night in with Matthew and her three-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, Bella.

“It never interested me to go to university,” she says, “I have heard of so many people who go off to university to study something that they could easily study here instead. It’s more the student life that appeals to them than the actual degree they are studying. And the student life wasn’t ever something that I was interested in. I’m one of those people who are just happy enough to sit in on a Saturday night watching movies and having a glass of wine!” Adding her biker jacket and a floral Guess clutch handbag to her Primark dress Leanne says she and her husband are looking ahead to their future together.

“We are hoping to build our own house soon,” she says, “And we are looking forward to our first Christmas together being married. We are going to spend it with my mummy and daddy and my grandparents. It wouldn’t be the same without them.”
