BUSY mum of two Lisa Clarke may look familiar. That’s because she fronted the launch of the Impartial Reporter’s switch from broadsheet to compact back in 2010.

“I agreed to stand in for a picture to help launch it but I had no idea my face would be all over posters too! I’m glad I had my hair done by chance that day!” she laughs.

Taking part in this week’s Lifestyle photoshoot petite Lisa says her moment in the spotlight even made it all the way to Australia.

“I have family over there,” she explains, “They have been living over there for about 40 years and still get the Impartial Reporter sent over by post!” Wearing a jacket from DV8, top from H&M and jeans and boots from New Look Lisa says she has been working in Balcas’ main office for the last two years.

But she has taken time-out from both her full-time jobs to enjoy a day of pampering thanks to Advanced Beauty, Enniskillen and Head Rush, Lisbellaw before striking a pose before the camera.

“Being a mum and working full-time can be hard work,” she admits, “You’re always trying to strike that balance between the two.” Modelling a blue dress from H&M and shoes from Tesco Lisa says she prefers a laid back, casual look.

“I would normally shop in New Look, H&M, DV8 or just online. I prefer going into the shops to try things on, but with a young son that can be quite difficult -- he hates shopping, like most men!” Lisa’s 12-year-old daughter, Alicia and 10-year-old son, Ethan certainly keep her busy when she’s not at Balcas.

“Alicia is very much into her clothes, more so than me,” says the glamorous mummy, “Ethan, however, is not! Alicia is getting to the stage where she is a similar dress size to me so we share clothes! She is nearly 13. We go up to Belfast every few months together to shop.” Wearing a green and black playsuit from Exhibit and shoes from New Look Lisa reveals she has just signed up to a Zumba class to keep fit.

“I just wanted to do something fun,” she says, “I used to go to the gym but I have no time now and this is great, although I’m always five steps behind everyone else!” When she gets spare time Lisa likes to unwind by relaxing in front of the TV or enjoying a good read.

“I love reading books especially true stories and travel books. I read every night! “I like cooking too, but I don’t have any specialities! I’m always one for making something once or twice, saying that I’m going to ‘perfect’ it but never actually getting round to doing that!” As she models her final look, a black lace dress from A-Wear Lisa says she and her husband, Gary look forward an evening away every so often.

“Next month we are going to see Miranda Harte in the Odyssey. We don’t get out too often but when we do it’s nice to have something to look forward to,” she adds.
