SHE may be a Fermanagh girl at heart but mum of two Tara Flanagan still likes to maintain some of the aspects of her former London life.

Originally from Enniskillen, the Liberty Insurance employee spent 12 years living in the UK’S capital city.

Working as a PR Executive for Virgin Media, dinner in the Ivy and trips to Ascot with friends were all part of the norm for Tara in the past.

But she has happily given up the glitz and the glamour for her home comforts in Enniskillen.

Back in the county since 2008, the stylish brunette says she has never regretted her decision to move back.

But as she models her River Island jeans, a blouse from TopShop, a belt from Biba and shoes from DV8, it’s clear that her former days of living it up in London aren’t entirely behind her yet.

“I moved over there originally for work more than anything,” she explains with a London twang to her accent, “Everything was very fast paced over there but I loved it though. It was fabulous. We had public relations agencies working for us that would take us out for really nice meals to places like The Ivy. And of course, working for Virgin, we had to host different events too so we got to meet all kinds of celebs including Richard Branston himself, Alexa Chung and Jermaine Jackson.

“There was a lot of schmoozing involved in the job, but it was great!” Tara explains that when her son, Aidan came along, it became harder to leave Enniskillen every time she made a trip back home. “I found myself thinking ‘maybe the car will break down on the motorway’ or ‘maybe the plane won’t take off’ -- that’s how bad it was. I really wanted to come home,” she says as she wears a pair of dangerous looking Jeffrey Campbell studded heels with leather trousers from TopShop and a top from River Island.

“I call this my home. I wanted a better quality of life for Aidan and I wanted to be around my family again.” And now with the arrival of her one-year-old daughter, Izzie, the familiarity of family and friends has become all the more important to Tara. But despite being a busy working mum, she still manages to keep on top the latest trends each season.

“I like a classic style but I try and mix that with what’s in season as well,” she says, “I try and stick to the rule that ‘if you wore it in the 90s you shouldn’t wear it the second time round!’ But I like to take an element of each trend and incorporate that into my look now.

“I do like to dress up -- even for work. I suppose that’s part of the London life still in me. We always had to stand out a bit at work over there and I suppose I still like to make an effort here too.” With her hair styled by her friend, Julie Maguire from Eden Hair, Tara reveals she celebrated a very important birthday recently. “I celebrated my 40th by hiring out Level Seven and having a DJ,” she says, “I had all my family and friends. I really enjoy socializing. I love going out for meals and shopping too.” Wearing a shirt from Next and a skirt from River Island, Tara says she still tries to make a trip over to London each year.

“My friends and I like to go to Ascot -- it’s amazing. You could just spend the whole day looking at everyone’s style and celeb watching too!” she says, “I would have to say shoes are my biggest weakness. I must own about 50 pairs. My ultimate aim is to own a pair of Louboutins. I probably wouldn’t ever wear them though -- I would be so terrified of ruining them!” As she models her final look, a dress from River Island and shoes from DV8, Tara says she likes to keep in shape by going to the gym three times a week.

“I haven’t had much of a chance in the last few weeks but when I do I like to do a lot of cardio and weights, squats and sit-ups. I like to try and stay as healthy as I can,” she adds.
