Armstrong pipped in championship but success for navigator McNulty

Enniskillen navigator Barry McNulty claimed the top prize on Saturday’s Bushwacker Rally, but for fellow Fermanagh man Jon Armstrong it was a bitter sweet event as he took the class win but missed out on Road to Wales Championship prize by one point.

Lying fourth in the Superstock race as he approached the end of the fourth and final circuit around the legendary 37 mile circuit, Lee nipped ahead of James Hillier in the closing section to claim third overall by just 0.270 seconds.
