By Julie Kenwell and Rodney Edwards At Omagh Show The Crawford Brothers from Maguiresbridge swept the boards once again at Omagh Show today (Saturday).

They claimed the Overall Cattle Champion accolade after winning in the Limousin section for their animal "Curraghree amazing" earlier on in the day.

Speaking to, Stephen Crawford said he was delighted with his win and put it down to all the hard work of his family.

And the Crawfords weren't the only Fermanagh entrants to enjoy success.

Lisbellaw's Alan Veitch won Reserve in the Commercial Cattle.

Entrants and spectators from the county arrived early this morning for the annual show, now in its 172nd year.

There was plenty of creative talent from Fermanagh filling the home industries marquee while Belle Isle chef Liz Moore wowed crowds during her cookery demonstration.

Chairwoman of Omagh Show, Jennifer Hawkes, hailed the day "a success".

Ms. Hawkes, originally from Lack, praised her "very hardworking team" and said: "there is something for everybody here".

"The children were very satisfied with the new kids' zone introduced this year. The fashion show and cookery demonstration was packed to capacity and the judges were very impressed by the standard of the livestock.

"There were a lot of entrants from the Fermanagh area and that's always the case. We always work very closely with Fermanagh people, as the bordering county, and I am personally very pleased by that, being a Fermanagh woman myself," she said.
