A much loved husband and father, Mr. Edward James(Jim) Carters of Drumgay, Enniskillen, passed away peacefully at the South West Acute Hospital on July 15 following a long illness.

Jim grew up and attended school in the Fivemiletown area and then went to take up work in Belfast.

It was there that he met his wife, Violet and they got married in 1968.

Jim led an active social life and enjoyed taking part in darts tournaments and playing football.

In 1969, their son, John was born in Belfast.

Soon after this, the family moved back to Fermanagh. Sadly their son, John was killed in July 1988 following a road accident.

The family moved to Garvary where their daughter, Charlene was born a few years later.

Jim's funeral service was held at Derryvullen South Parish Church conducted by the Rev. Bryan Kerr.

The hymns were; "Abide with Me," Safe in the Arms of Jesus," and "The Old Rugged Cross." The burial took place in the adjoining churchyard.

Jim is survived by his wife, Violet; daughter, Charlene and the wider family circle.

The funeral arrangements were by Mr. Austen Stinson of W.T.Morrison, Darling Street, Enniskillen.
