The family regularly attended Inishmacsaint Parish Church where Annie was an active member of the Mothers' Union.

They continued to farm at Coranerk until 1955 when they downsized to a smaller farm at Drumrainey, in Cleenish Parish where they farmed until Eddie's retirement in 1965 after which they moved to 10 Mallard Heights, Bellanaleck. They enjoyed 17 active and happy years together in retirement during which time they were faithful members of Cleenish Parish Church, played bowls, enjoyed gardening, travelled and entertained visitors galore.
