Unique Nocturnal Nature Tours to discover what lurks amongst the trees and foliage after dark are being hosted at the National Trust's Crom Estate, near Newtownbutler in Co. Fermanagh. With deer, badgers, Irish hare, foxes, bats and barn owls, a representative is confident that visitors "are sure to get up close to wildlife," which live in the scenic 2,000 acre property at Crom.

"So come along and jump into our 4x4 and enjoy an evening at Crom," proposes the spokeswoman, who looked forward to the special nights to be held on Thursday, October 18 and Friday, October 19.

Regarded as one of the most tranquil parts of Northern Ireland, Crom offers a mixture of lakes and ponds, fen, swamp, woodland and meadows making it one of Ireland's most important nature conservation areas.

Trips will last approximately 45 minutes and to avoid disappointment visitors are advised that booking in advance is essential. The first nocturnal nature tour will leave the Education Centre at Crom at 7.30pm each evening. Crom Visitor Centre can be contacted for further details and bookings.
