FOUR jobs are to go at Quinn Plastics in Derrylin.
Following a review of the structures of the plastics business across Europe, the company is proposing to reduce the workforce in Derrylin from 16 to 12.
A spokesperson for the Quinn Group said: "In relation to the affected employees, all options are being considered -- as part of a consultation process -- including possible redeployment elsewhere within the Group locally."
The company, once owned by Sean Quinn, has rejected speculation of additional job losses at its glass and packaging departments, saying this "amounts to pure fabrication".
"In fact, following significant investment in the packaging business in Ballyconnell the workforce has grown from 106 to 133 in the past eighteen months," added the spokesperson.
