A LEGAL battle between two Fermanagh-south Tyrone politicians is expected to get underway at the High Court in Belfast tomorrow (Friday).
The legal action concerns Ulster Unionist MP Tom Elliott and Sinn Fein MLA Phil Flanagan.
It concerns a tweet published online by the defendant, Mr. Flanagan, on May 1 2014. Mr. Elliott, the plaintiff, is claiming damages, an apology and retraction of the allegation.
Mr. Elliott is being represented by Cooper Wilkinson Solicitors while Mr. Flanagan is being represented by Patrick Fahy and Co. Solicitors.
The matter is listed to be heard in the High Court tomorrow at 10.15am and neither Mr. Elliott nor Mr. Flanagan are expected to attend.
