A cash in transit van has been robbed by armed men in Derrylin.
Earlier this afternoon two delivery men were making a cash delivery when they were approached by two unknown males, one of whom was armed with a suspected firearm. The men threatened the delivery men before making off with a sum of cash.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the armed robbery of a cash in transit van outside a shop in the Main Street area of Derrylin this afternoon, Wednesday 03 February.
It was reported that at around 12.35pm two delivery men were making a cash delivery when they were approached by two unknown males, one of whom was armed with a suspected firearm. The men threatened the delivery men before making off with a sum of cash.
Detective Inspector Brian Foster is appealing for anyone who witnessed the robbery or anyone who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area of Main Street before or after the time of the robbery to contact Detectives in Enniskillen on the non-emergency number 101.
