The annual Hospital Ball, a premier event in Fermanagh's social calendar, once again proved an enjoyable evening.

The recent Friday night venture marked the 32nd year of the popular gathering, which was held in the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen.

About 300 people were in attendance and included staff from right across the board at South West Acute Hospital, who were joined by local people.

The special occasion, which featured dining and dancing, is organised by a team led by Professor Varma, Consultant Cardiologist.

He paid tribute to the hotel, David Morrison and staff for the terrific co-operation and help to make the occasion such a successful night.

Every year the Hospital Ball supports NI Chest, Heart and Stroke.

Prof. Varma pointed out that over the year (2015), £19,000 was collected from the Fermanagh community and a cheque was presented on the night of the ball to Declan Cunnane, Chief Executive, NI Chest, Heart and Stroke.

Next year's Hospital Ball is to take place on January 27.
