FIRST Minister Arlene Foster is to hold a meeting of the Northern Ireland Executive in Fermanagh on February 25, The Impartial Reporter has learned. The meeting featuring all the key decision makers in Stormont, including Health Minister Simon Hamilton, Education Minister John O’Dowd and Justice Minister David Ford, will take place at Enniskillen Townhall. Mrs. Foster, a Fermanagh-south Tyrone MLA, will chair the high-powered meeting with Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and is expected to formally announce the location of the meeting in the Northern Ireland Assembly on Monday. Other ministers expected in Enniskillen include: Junior Ministers Emma Pengelly and Jennifer McCann, Enterprise Minister Jonathan Bell, Finance Minister Mervyn Storey, Social Development Minister Maurice Morrow, Regional Development Minister Michelle McIlveen, Agriculture Minister Michelle O’Neill, Culture Minister Carál Ní Chuilín, Employment Minister Stephen Farry and Environment Minister Mark H Durkan. The purpose of getting out of Belfast and coming west of the Bann appears to be important to Mrs. Foster who told a recent meeting of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce that politics “should be a feature of every town and every community” and elected representatives “should get out and meet local people in their own constituencies.”
