Sharing their singing talents at a world premiere event in Carnegie Hall, New York, in coming days will be three music students from Fermanagh.
Lauren Coulter, Graeme Read and Ciara Timoney are members of the Ulster University Chamber Choir, Cora and Lauren being sopranos and Graeme is a tenor.
All music students studying at the Ulster University - Magee campus, Ciara and Lauren are in their final year and Graeme is in his second year.
“As members of the Ulster University Chamber Choir we are very privileged to have been given the opportunity to sing as part of the chorus for the world premiere of Paul Mealor’s ‘Stabat Mater’ and ‘Jubilate Deo’ on Monday 15th February in Carnegie Hall, New York,” explained Ciara.
She pointed out: “Furthermore, the Irish Ambassador will also be putting on a reception where we will perform a full programme of music including a solo by Lauren Coulter.”
Ciara adds that they are all very excited about the trip. “During our free time between rehearsals we look forward to doing some sightseeing!” she said.
