Warrenpoint Town 3 Ballinamallard United 0

It was a bad night at the office for Ballinamallard as they crashed to a 3-0 defeat away to in form Warrenpoint Town tonight.

Warrenpoint remain bottom of the Danske Bank Premiership table but the result sees them close to within one point of Ballinamallard, Carrick and Dungannon leaving it tight and tense at the foot of the table.

There was little separating the sides in the first half but it was the home side who were to take the lead on the stroke of half time as one time Mallards target Tiernan Mulvenna tapped home after John Boyle's shot had come back off the post.

And matters worsened for Whitey Anderson's charges a minute into the second half as the home side doubled their money as Stephen Murray slotted home.

The game was then put beyond the Mallards on the hour mark as Johnny McMurray tucked the ball to the net as they finished up 3-0 victors.
