THE members of a Fermanagh line dancing club have strutted their stuff to success at this year’s European championships!

Struttin’ Stars Line Dance Club returned from the prestigious competition, which was held in Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey, county Donegal, with an array of trophies, including eight European titles.

A total of 26 of the club’s dancers competed across the weekend in both solo and team events. Some of these dancers were competing for the first time in the Starter division and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Many of the club’s dancers came away with a European title, with others being placed in the top seven in their divisions.

The club took first place in the ‘Standard Team’ division as well as the ‘Quad and Partner’ divisions.

Some of the dancers competed in the couples section with professional dancer Fred Whitehouse, with Megan Murphy winning her ‘Pro-Am’ division.

There was also success for Courtney McGoldrick and Jade McMahon, who took first place in their solo divisions.

The dancers have now qualified for the World Championships in August.

Their instructor, Marie McBrien, said she was “delighted” with their results and praised the girls for their commitment and work throughout the year.

The hard work continues as the girls now prepare for the Ulster Championships in June.
