POLICE are appealing for information after a car was stolen in Trillick and then set on fire.
Sometime between 11pm on May 21 and 7am on May 22, a silver Toyota Avensis was stolen from a yard on the Ballyard Road.
The car ended up in a collision with a telegraph pole on the Aghafad Road and was then set on fire before being abandoned.
Constable Niall McMahon said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed the car between Saturday evening and Sunday morning to contact Omagh Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 468 of 22/05/16.
"Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
