IT is very much all change at Stormont as it begins a new term following the Assembly election.

For Fermanagh-south Tyrone, there are some new additions to the line-up with the arrival of Sinn Fein’s Michelle Gildernew, SDLP’s Richie McPhillips and the Ulster Unionist’s Rosemary Barton.

Ms Gildernew joins her colleague Sean Lynch and of course the new term also sees the return of First Minister Arlene Foster and her Democratic Unionist Party colleague Maurice Morrow.

MLAs had to sign the Roll of Membership and agree to agree to the following rules: 1) To support the rule of law unequivocally in word and deed and to support all efforts to uphold it.

2) To work collectively with the other members of the Assembly to achieve a society free of paramilitarism.

3) To challenge all paramilitary activity and associated criminality.

4) To call for, and to work together with the other members of the Assembly to achieve, the disbandment of all paramilitary organisations and their structures.

5) To challenge paramilitary attempts to control communities.

6) To support those who are determined to make the transition away from paramilitarism.

7) To accept no authority, direction or control on my political activities other than my democratic mandate alongside my own personal and party judgement.
