Actress Penelope Keith is set to retrace the Queen’s historic steps in Enniskillen in 2012 in a television broadcast, due to be shown this evening, Sunday.

This year, the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II is being celebrated; to help mark this special occasion Penelope is exploring the length and breadth of the United Kingdom ‘in order to uncover the very heart of our royal heritage.’

Penelope Keith at Her Majesty’s Service is being screened on Channel Four on the four Sunday nights this month, June.

The producers are planning ‘to retrace the steps of The Queen by visiting some of the most significant places she has been, including St. Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen and the ‘Crossing of the Street’ to St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church – the first time Her Majesty visited a Roman Catholic Church in Ireland.’

The Northern Ireland episode, which features Dean Kenneth Hall and Monsignor Peter O'Reilly, will be broadcast this evening, Sunday, June 19 at 8pm on Channel Four.
