STEP back in time at The Ardhowen this week when South Bank Playhouse transform the theatre foyer into the world of Noel Coward’s ‘Relative Values’.

RELATIVE VALUES

A satire of snobbery in all its guises, the play ‘Relative Values’ by Noel Coward portrays a clash of cultures between Hollywood and the aristocracy.

Benefiting from almost 50 years of experience, South Bank Playhouse consistently produces drama and comedy of the highest quality.

With plays ranging from traditional classics to uproarious farces and some slightly more unusual pieces, recent productions have included Martin McDonagh’s ‘The Beauty Queen Of Leenane’, Neil Simon’s ‘Come Blow Your Horn’, Henrik Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’, Oscar Wilde’s ‘An Ideal Husband’ and last year’s Ardhowen delight, ‘Wanted: One Body!’.

South Bank Playhouse presents ‘Relative Values’ from tonight (Thursday) to Saturday at 8pm.

HERETICS AND HEAD THE BALLS

Stand-up comedian, Neil Dougan, attempts to compress over 500 years of culture into his new one-man show, ‘Heretics and Head the Balls’.

Packed with tales of head the balls and heretics, his subjects range from revolutionary reformists to bonfire builders, The Four Musketeers and a tribe of Native American Orangemen, even Rasputin gets a mention.

Neil Dougan is one of the most established acts on the Irish comedy circuit today.

Bitten by the bug at his first ever visit to a comedy club, Neil walked onto the same stage with his own routine two weeks later.

Within a matter of weeks he had made it to the final of Channel 4’s ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ at The Edinburgh Festival. In November 2005 Neil made his first appearance Radio Ulster’s highly-successful ‘The Blame Game’ and is now a familiar face in comedy clubs throughout the UK and Ireland.

Don’t miss this very funny act on Friday, August 26 at 9pm in the Gallery Bar.

Please note, this show contains adult references and is strictly for over-18s only.
