A MAN in his 60s was rescued by firefighters on Sunday after falling into water in Belleek.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service have said they received a call at 8.51pm to a report of a man in distress at the Belleek Marina on the Station Road in the village.
“Fire Appliances from Crescent Link, Central, Enniskillen and Irvinestown and Belleek Fire Stations were mobilised to attend the incident.
“Firefighters from Belleek Fire Station were first to arrive at the scene and used water rescue equipment to rescue a man in his 60s from Lough Erne, before the arrival of the other appliances to the scene. Firefighters also provided first aid response to the casualty until the arrival of ambulance service colleagues following the incident,” said a spokesman.
