Mental Health Champion Raymond Farrell gives practical tips on how to look after your mental health.
Councillor Farrell is a mental health practicioner and is Fermanagh and Omagh District Council's Mental Health Champion.
In a recent talk to a feel good fair, he urged people to think of the stress as -
S- sleep
T- talk
R- rest
E- eat and exercise
S- support
S- spiritual
He recommended walking, stating: "Walking is nature's anti-depressant".
He urged people to take support when it is offered, saying: "How often in life do we carry burdens and stresses that, if we had shared, could have led us to a better place?"
