The annual Fermanagh Friends of the NI Hospice Support Group’s Coffee Morning and Cake Sale in aid of Horizon West Children’s Hospice took place recently.

The aroma of fresh coffee and freshly baked scones filled the air at The Bridge Centre, Enniskillen, where lots of tempting sweet treats enticed visitors to drop in!

Staff of the Lough Erne Resort held a Hotel Bake Off competition - donating the goods baked - for sale at the coffee morning.

The event was well attended throughout the morning, which was hailed ‘a fantastic day’ by Gladys O’Callaghan, Chair of the support group, who said they were overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who attended the coffee morning.

She said they would like to thank everyone who came on the recent Saturday to support the Children’s Hospice and to everyone who contributed to make the day such a huge success.

“A huge thank you to all who baked goods and to The Lough Erne Resort for providing such an array of cakes and traybakes,” added Gladys.

She noted all monies donated on Saturday, November 19 “will be used to provide services to children with life limited illnesses and their families throughout Fermanagh and Tyrone.”

Gladys continued: “The service is free to those using the services of NI Children’s Hospice and with limited government funding we rely heavily on events such as this to raise the money needed to ensure that we can continue to provide this valuable and essential service. The local community have been so generous and we are so thankful for the support that we receive.”
