Fermanagh 0-19 Antrim 0-05 Fermanagh’s 14 point win over Antrim at Brewster Park tonight was enough to seal their place in the last four of the McKenna Cup with Pete McGrath's side progressing through to a meeting with Tyrone in Clones on Sunday (2pm).

From the early stages there was only going to be one winner of this game as Fermanagh dominated all over the pitch against a struggling Antrim outfit and the only thing in question was by how much McGrath's side would win by.

Indeed, such was Fermanagh's dominance that they held Antrim scoreless for 45 minutes before Tomas McCann finally opened his side's account.

By that stage though the game was over with Fermanagh having gone it at the break with an 11 point advantage that by no means flattered them.

Antrim did show greater fight in the second half but Fermanagh always held the upperhand and with scoring difference coming into play, the 14 point margin in the end was enough to secure the best runners up spot for the Ernemen.

While the opposition was poor, Fermanagh's job was to beat what was in front of them and they achieved this with the minimum fuss.

The first half was a wholly lopsided affair with Fermanagh dictating matters right from the off.

Pete McGrath's side bossed in all areas and they were quickly into their stride with Paul McCusker and Barry Mulrone knocking over points from play while Tomas Corrigan converted a free.

It could have been even better when Eoin Donnelly and Cathal Beacom, who had solid debut at centre half forward, combined to send Aidan Breen through on goal but his shot was saved by Antrim goalkeeper Ronan Hanna.

Beacom got on the scoresheet with a sweetly struck effort that followed another Corrigan free while Paddy Reihill broke forward to slot over a tidy point.

Reihill had an effective performance for Fermanagh with his raiding runs causing problems for Antrim and he deservedly claimed the man of the match award.

Antrim carried very little threat in attack and the few chances they did have they failed to take as Fermanagh went on to further increase their lead.

Breen rattled over two points in a row before the Saffrons cause was further hit by a black card for midfielder Martin Johnston for taking down Declan McCusker.

And the half finished with three more Fermanagh points as Corrigan landed his third free and Sean Quigley, in his first start of the season, knocked over a '45 and followed up with a point from play to leave it 0-11 to 0-00 at the interval.

Breen landed his third point at the start of the second half to increase the advantage to 12 before Antrim finally got off the mark through a point from McCann.

Fermanagh though continued to push on and Corrigan (2), Eddie Courtney and the hard working Barry Mulrone all tagged on points to make it 0-16 to 0-01.

McCann notched three frees for Antrim while Stephen Beatty kicked a point from play as they looked to take the bad look of the scoreboard but it was Fermanagh who were to finish with a flourish.

Courtney, who was impressive when coming off the bench, kicked two further points from play while Breen tagged on his fourth to leave it 0-19 to 0-05 at the final whistle.
