From The Impartial Reporter, February 20, 1992: Two students at Fermanagh College of Further Education will put their culinary skills to the test in a major cookery competition next month.

Mark Edmondson, from Letterbreen, and Neven Maguire, from Blacklion, are finalists in the 1991 “Create with Calor” Cookery competition, which takes place at the Culloden Hotel near Belfast on March 6th.

Popular U.T.V. personality Pamela Ballantine, a judge in the contest, visited the Enniskillen college and admired the colourful main course dishes and desserts prepared by the boys.

Mark and Neven, final year students on the City and Guilds 706/2 course, now have the opportunity to practise their entries for the competition, which was officially launched by Lloyd Grossman, presenter of television’s “Masterchef” programme, at the Caterworld ‘91 exhibition in the Europa Hotel.
