THERE will be no St. Patrick’s Day holiday for the team at Belleek Pottery when they go live to an audience of more than 100 million households across the USA on the TV shopping channel QVC US!

To mark the Fermanagh company’s 160th anniversary, QVC US are dedicating an hour of their St. Patrick’s Day broadcasting to a special Belleek Pottery Show.

The programme will feature a selection of specially QVC US commissioned Belleek products, including a unique 'Forget-me-not and Shamrock' teacup and saucer set handcrafted in Belleek’s signature basket weave.

The Belleek Pottery Show will be fronted by Managing Director John Maguire and Belleek Visitor Centre Manager Patricia McCauley.

Commenting on their QVC appearance, Mr. Maguire said: “The opportunity to sell directly to an audience of up to 100 million homes across the USA offers us great potential. Depending on the success of our products we could secure sales of up to $300,000 from this one show alone.

“We have had a relationship with QVC for many years and were delighted when they offered us a dedicated one-hour St Patrick’s Day special to mark our 160th anniversary.”

He added: “It really is a massive audience to be broadcasting and as well as working hard to maximising sales, Patricia and I will be making sure to promote Northern Ireland and County Fermanagh, in particular, as a must-visit tourist destination.”
