A four year old boy has died following an accident on a farm in Maguiresbridge.
Police attended reports of an incident at around 8.30pm.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement this morning, PSNI Inspector Glen Latimer said police will work closely with the Health and Safety Executive as they investigate the circumstances.
Ulster Unionist MP Tom Elliott, who knows the family, described the death as a “terrible tragedy.”
“I can't even begin to understand what is going through the minds of this family. To lose a son, a brother, a grandson is almost unthinkable.

“They are a decent, genuine and popular family and my thoughts and prayers are with them,” he said.
DUP Leader and Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA Arlene Foster also expressed her sympathy.

"This is devastating news and I wish to express my sympathy to the family. In the close knit farming community of Fermanagh, news of this untimely death has caused a great deal of shock.
"The family will be in my thoughts and prayers today and in the weeks to come, as they mourn the loss of a young life taken under such tragic circumstances,” she said.

In a statement, the Health and Safety Executive said it is aware of a fatality on a farm in the Maguiresbridge area and is investigating.
"Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the family at this most difficult time," said a spokeswoman.
