CAVANACARRAGH Players are performing their hit production of classic Irish comedy ‘A Wake in the West’ one more time tonight (Saturday) to raise vital funds for the Children’s Heartbeat Trust.

This famous side-splitting farce, by M.J. Ginnelly, has packed venues from Westport (where it all began) to San Francisco and has left everyone rolling in the aisles.

After a life devoted to drink, it’s no surprise that Tom Healy’s final wish is to be buried in the drink… at sea, that is.

The neighbours one by one pour into Healy’s front room to pay their respects, though not all come to pray!

Make sure you come along ‘to pay your last respects’ and sympathise with Tom’s family.

The play is being staged one more time in Cavanacarragh Hall tonight (Saturday), starting at 8pm sharp.

All proceeds will be donated to Children’s Heartbeat Trust.

The Children’s Heartbeat Trust were a constant support to Riley Ann Moss and her family since the day she was born and still now in the weeks since she has passed away.

They provided much-needed emotional and also financial support over the last six years, especially at sometimes desperately frightening times in Riley’s life.

During Riley’s many months in Clark Clinic (the children’s cardiac ward in the Royal), having treatment or when she was having open heart surgery, the Children’s Heartbeat Trust provided the family with accommodation within the hospital where they could rest and be beside Riley.

The Children’s Heartbeat Trust fund vital equipment for the Clark Clinic, expertise and research into congenital heart disease, which is so important.
