A fundraising gathering at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen, tomorrow evening, Friday, April 28, is certainly styled to be a cut above the rest!

A total of 16 brave girls and women have agreed to take part in the Big Hair Chop, an event being organised by David and Jill Mahon from Kesh, in order to raise money and hair donations for the Little Princess Trust.

The Mahons, who have encouraged support for the venture, explain that this is a charity which provides real hair wigs to children who have suffered hair loss due to cancer treatment. The 16 participants will kindly donate their hair to the charity.

Through the event, David and Jill hope to raise a substantial amount of money to pay for the hair to be made into wigs.

Kindly donating their hair to the charity will be the participating candidates, who are listed along with their hairdresser, as follows: Jill Mahon, from Kesh - Hair by Rachel (Kesh); Amy Woods, Ballinamallard - Xtreme (Enniskillen); Becky Dickson, Enniskillen - Xtreme (Enniskillen); Zoe Curry , Clabby - The Nuu (Clabby); Amy Kettyles, Garrison - Shine Hair Design (Belleek); Sandra Lennox, Kesh - Becks Hair Parlour (Ederney); Deborah Armstrong, Clabby - Clive Alexander (Enniskillen); Megan Armstrong, Ballinamallard - Unique Hair and Beauty (Ballinamallard); Erica Strong, Ederney - Venus Hair (Enniskillen); Zara Lindsay, Derrygonnelly - The Hair Studio (Clogher); Kacey Thompson, Kesh - Karen’s Kutz (Kesh); Zara Ferguson, Springfield - Hair by Maeve Tolan (Enniskillen); Rowena Kells, Teemore - Elysian Hair and Beauty (Enniskillen); Lucy Thompson, Kesh - Xtreme (Enniskillen); Kaitlin Nicholl, Lisbellaw - Headrush Beauty (Lisbellaw); and Cara Eves, Ederney - Laura Carrigan (Boa Island).

The Mahons also mention that they are having an online charity auction which is running at www.lisnaskeaauctions.co.uk and will be finishing on the night.

Looking forward to tomorrow night, Friday’s Big Hair Chop, which she feels is supporting a worthy cause, Jill Mahon acknowledged the support of the participants, and she extended thanks to all local businesses who have sponsored candidates or donated items for the online auction.
