BBC Proms in the Park 2017 will be live from Castle Coole on Saturday, September 9, it has been announced.
This is the first time the event will be staged in County Fermanagh, and gives local audiences the opportunity to join in the UK-wide celebrations bringing to a close two months of spectacular music-making at the BBC Proms.
Now in its sixteenth year, this year’s BBC Proms in the Park Northern Ireland will bring together internationally acclaimed performers from home and around the world.
They will be performing alongside the Ulster Orchestra under the baton of David Brophy, in a programme which combines classical and contemporary music and a few surprises.
In previous years BBC Proms in the Park has been staged in Belfast, Hillsborough, Carrickfergus and Bangor.
BBC Proms in the Park remains one of BBC Northern Ireland’s most ambitious, and popular outside broadcasts, and this year 6,000 tickets will be available for the event at Castle Coole, Enniskillen.
