The disabled son of Concepta Leonard has said he wants to carry the coffin of his mother when her funeral takes place tomorrow (Friday) in Brookeborough.
Canon Laurence Dawson spoke of Conor’s wish yesterday as the family prepared to bid farewell to the much loved Fermanagh woman who was murdered in her home by her former partner Peadar Phair earlier this week.
The funeral mass for the 51 year old school cook will take place at St. Mary’s Church at 11am with burial in the adjoining cemetery afterwards.
Meanwhile, the funeral for Mr. Phair, who took his own life following the murder of Ms. Leonard and attempted murder of her son Conor, took place this morning at Holy Cross Church in Lisnaskea.
