Much shock and sadness have been felt in the community and beyond at the untimely death of popular businessman Andy Brunt, late of Main Street, Augher.

The much loved husband, father son and brother, who was 48, passed away peacefully, following a short illness on April 29, 2017, at the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen. His family were at his side.

Born and raised in Fivemiletown, Andy attended Brookeborough Primary School, Fivemiletown High School and Portora Royal School.

He was employed by R.T.D. Crawford (his uncle Ronnie Crawford) for 30 years, until he took over the Brunt family business.

Among Andy’s interests was his passion for rallying (motorsport). He acted as a navigator for many drivers, amongst them being Stewart Clarke and Nigel Trotter.

Andy was very involved in the Board of Governors of Augher Central Primary School, serving as its Chairman. He was also on the Playing Fields Committee in Augher.

In addition Andy was a member of the Masonic Lodge 626 Clogher.

He married the former Joanne Coulter from Augher in 1995 and they had a family of three: Chelsea, Callum and Corey. Andy lived for his wife and children, who were of tremendous importance to him.

Andy, who was outgoing, lived a very full life until becoming unwell about eight weeks ago; he remained positive throughout his illness.
