A 26-YEAR-OLD man arrested by police in Enniskillen yesterday (Thursday) in connection with an ongoing investigation into the importation of drugs is due to appear in court this morning.
He has been charged with a number of drugs offences, including importing a controlled drug, attempting to possess controlled drugs with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of drugs.
The 26 year old is expected to appear before Dungannon Magistrates Court today.
It is understood that the charges follow the seizure of Class A drugs with a street value in the region of £2,000 and a quantity of prescription drugs during searches at two properties in the Enniskillen area yesterday.
Prescription medication with an estimated street value of £7,000 was also intercepted in the postal system and seized by police.
Meanwhile, a 47-year-old woman who was also arrested yesterday as part of the investigation has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
