A PSNI detective is expected to attend Fermanagh Magistrates Court next week to provide an update on the progress of the investigation into the alleged attempted murder of a baby in Enniskillen earlier this year.
Timuras Kozlov, a Lithuanian national of Derrychara Drive, Enniskillen, is charged with attempting to murder the infant on Saturday, May 6.
Kozlov, who is serving time on remand in custody, appeared before Fermanagh Magistrates Court on Monday for the latest hearing in the case, via videolink from Hydebank Young Offenders Centre.
A Public Prosecution Service (PPS) representative told the court that a full file had yet to be received from the PSNI.
The prosecutor said that she had rang to speak to the investigating officer at Enniskillen CID, only to be told that the officer was off on leave until later this month.
She added that there were still matters outstanding regarding disclosure.
The prosecutor requested a one-week adjournment in the case, for a representative from the local CID to attend and update the court on the progress of the investigation.
Defending solicitor, Garry Smyth, told the court that his client had been in custody since May 9 and he would be concerned about any further delays.
District judge, Nigel Broderick, adjourned the case until Monday, August 21 for a representative of the CID to attend.
