The Impartial Reporter Celebration of Sport will take place at the five star Lough Erne Resort on Friday, January 26, 2018 and we are looking for you to nominate who you think has been Fermanagh’s sporting stars of 2017.

We need your help to finalise the nominees. So send us in who you thinks deserves a nomination and why on the form printed in this week's paper or email mconway@impartialreporter.com.

A copy of the form is also attached to this story.
All names will be brought forward to our selection panel who will whittle down all the names into the different categories for a short list of nominations in each category. Voting in these will commence from Thursday, November 30 onwards in the lead up to the ceremony at the end of January
The eight categories that we are looking for nominations are:
- STAR OF THE FUTURE (14 and under)
- YOUNG SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR (15-18)
- DISABILITY SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
- SENIOR SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
- YOUNG SPORTS TEAM OF THE YEAR
- COACH OF THE YEAR
- SENIOR SPORTS TEAM OF THE YEAR
- VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
The event was launched last week at Lough Erne Resort.
Deputy editor of the Impartial Reporter, Mark Conway commented: “We are delighted to team up once again with Lough Erne Resort, it is a perfect venue for our Celebration of Sport. This is now the sixth year of our awards and the nights have been a great success. We are looking forward to organising this year’s event but I would encourage readers to send in their nominees to help us with the selection process. We will also be revealing our special guest and our chosen charity in the weeks ahead as we build up to what should be another great night.”
Again, it has been another tremendous year for Fermanagh sport and the Celebration of Sport will hope to be a fitting tribute to all our sports stars who compete so well at local, provincial, national and international stage.
Graham Little will be our MC and the Sky Sports journalist and former Impartial Reporter writer brings a great sense of fun and expert sporting knowledge to the proceedings. The Celebration of Sport enjoys a great accent of rewarding our young sporting stars and once again a bursary will be provided for the Young Sports Personality of the Year from the Greg Turley Bursary and Fermanagh House.
This money will help the winner with the some of the costs they endure in the pursuit of excellence. So please take the time to consider and send us in who you think should make the nominees short list.
