The unexpected passing on Sunday, November 26, at his Kesh home of 48 year old Dale Robert John Lyttle, best known as Dale, has been met with much shock and sadness among his family and friends.
A much loved son, brother and uncle, late of Pettigo Road, Aghalaan, he had previously been in good health.
Born between Kesh and Ederney, in the townland of Mullaghmore, he was a son of William and Laura Lyttle and a brother to Korena.
Dale was educated at Lack Primary School and then went on to the Duke of Westminster High School, Kesh. When he was 16, he was injured in a car accident in 1986.
He held a very positive outlook in life and enjoyed people.
Dale worked for Desmond Knox doing grass cutting and he also spent a few years working at Balcas. In recent years he was working in Modern Tyres, Omagh.
In addition, he enjoyed working on the family farm with his father William.
Among his interests had been cycling, and he had been involved in Omagh Wheelers and Cappa Cycling Club. He did quite a few long distance charity cycles.
He enjoyed going to motorsport events and motorbike rallies, while he had also been a keen photographer.
Another interest was bowling and he was a member of both Kesh and Bannagh Bowling Clubs. He also liked to attend baking and cookery classes at the South West College in Enniskillen.
His funeral service, which was widely attended, was held at Templecarne Parish Church, Pettigo, and was conducted by Archdeacon Cecil Pringle.
Burial was at Templecarne Churchyard.
Dale is survived by his parents, William and Laura; his sister Korena and his brother in law Shane; and his four nephews Darragh, Reece, Joel and Ethan, and the wider family circle.
The family are very appreciative of the support of everyone at this difficult time.
The funeral arrangements were by Austen Stinson, of W.T. Morrison, Enniskillen.
